Detroit Lions NFL Game: Preview and Predictions

While watching the Lions NFL online, you may have some thoughts from their preseason games about how they will do this season. We have some Detroit Lions NFL game previews and predictions for this season.

Detroit Lions NFL Preview and Predictions

For quite some time, Detroit Lions fans have the “wait for next year” mentality. However, this season, we feel this may change. Last season started out very promising and many fans are thinking this year is their year. Let’s begin with their draft pick.

One of the predictions many have is that T.J. Hockenson will pass Rob Gronkowski’s rookie season. Hockenson was the number 8 draft pick in the 2019 draft. The tight end has a lot of pressure to do well, but many think he’ll work very well with Matthew Stafford.

Another prediction for the Lions is that they will go from worst to first this year. They have a new offensive coordinator, they will definitely improve from last year, but holding onto it will be the challenge.

Another prediction is that the Lions will win a playoff game. It may be a bold prediction, but after their miserable 2018 season, someone has to hope. Matthew Stafford has so much talent, he will bounce back from last season and shine. He has a new offensive coordinator; therefore, he has to improve. The Lions have a great defense. It will be hard to win the NFC North, but it’s definitely feasible.

This season it seems that all of the pieces of the Lions’ puzzle are getting put together now. Their special teams have not changed this season except, John Bonamego was hired back to help with this area. The Detroit Lions have the GM, the head coach, and their quarterback under contracts until 2022. This year will be a pivotal year and Stafford needs to get the team rounded up to have a winning season this year. Their early-season schedule isn’t going to be easy, but they may be able to tackle the obstacles that they have as a team before its too late.
